There have been notably fewer applications recently, which must be because of the economic downturn. Many of the applications have been to fell trees, generally just one or two at a time. This has an effect in the long term on the appearance of the area, so we hope that residents are also planting trees.
A major current application is at 22 Knighton Park Road, where an earlier scheme for flats and houses by the same developer and architect was turned down. This is just outside the conservation area. A decision is due on 4th January 2010.
