At the SCAS Annual General Meeting on 18th May 2009, James White, the city's Heritage Regeneration Officer, described a project to survey historic buildings in Leicester to identify those which were at risk. Leicester Civic Society was already giving a hand and SCAS  undertook to cover Stoneygate. We have now completed the task while the weather and length of daylight were conducive to tramping the streets. Most houses had just a cursory inspection from the road and only where there was dilapidation and signs of being unoccupied was a property recorded in more detail.
