Here are the planning applications for 22/04/2014:
There is a consultation on the Leicester City Council website about pavement parking. It is open for comments until 30 April 2014 and will give residents an opportunity to express their views on pavement parking.
The consultation can be viewed on the Consultations section of the Leicester City Council website.
In the last SCAS Newsletter we highlighted the issues surrounding Tesco’s plans to open a new `express’ supermarket in the old Barclays Bank building on the corner of Queens Road and Clarendon Park Road.
The current `change of use’ rules allow the bank to be used as a supermarket without the need for further planning consent. However, Tesco has formally submitted several planning applications for related development and members of the public now have the opportunity to express their views to City Council planners.
The applications are as follows. Click the links to view and comment on each individual application:
- 20140332 Air conditioning and condenser units in rear yard; timber fence.
- 20140330 External chiller unit (in corner of current car park, below neighbouring flats)
- 20140329 Canopy in rear service yard
- 20140328 Replacement front entrance doors and windows
- 20140327 ATM at corner elevation
- 20140322 Fascia and hanging signs
The case officer is Mr T Ipgrave. The deadline for comment is Friday April 4th.
For those without internet access, or who prefer paper documents, the files can be viewed at Knighton Library, Clarendon Park Road or the new City Council Customer Service Centre, 91 Granby Street (where Poundstretcher was) during office hours.
